The project "Understanding drone risks" is part of the project "Evaluation of the effects of the height limitation on unmanned aerial vehicles" of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI).
Our project partner is the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V.).
The task of the Harding Center for Risk Literacy is to develop suitable communication formats to present the scientific evidence on drone risks and the associated uncertainties in an accessible and transparent manner. In addition to the communication formats that are primarily targeted at drone users, the Harding Center is also developing decision support for drone risk regulation.
The target group specific communication tools are intended to enable an adequate understanding of risk among laypersons and experts, and to support informed decision-making on the part of the experts.
The communication tools are developed on the basis of empirical data and model calculations.
