The EbM Network sees itself as the German-speaking competence and reference center for all aspects of Evidence-Based Medicine. It unites representatives from various disciplines, professions, sectors, and organizations and offers a space for independent, critical-scientific discussions on all questions related to evidence-based healthcare provision.
The network was founded in the year 2000 to disseminate and further develop concepts and methods of evidence-based and patient-oriented medicine in practice, teaching, and research, and today has about 1000 members.
Evidence-Based Medicine (EbM) promotes the conscious and patient welfare-oriented use of the best empirical evidence available for decisions in the care of individuals or entire population groups.
Christin Ellermann is actively involved in the network in the working group 'Climate and Health' and the departments 'Public Health' and 'Patient Information and Participation'.
