Kavitha Ranganathan is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at the T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. Her research interests are in decision making under risk and uncertainty and also extend to behavioral corporate finance and governance issues in the Indian securities market. Recently, she has been working on aspects of risk literacy and risk communication among investment professionals. Kavitha is also the recipient of the Max Planck India Mobility Grant and has been a key organizer of the Winter School on Bounded Rationality in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin, since 2017. Before joining TAPMI, she worked at the National Institute of Securities Market and has been part of the research team for the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) commissioned by the Government of India.
