Vita
Niklas Keller is co-founder and managing partner of Simply Rational GmbH, as well as an associated scientist at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Harding Centre for Risk Competence and Technische Universität Berlin. Niklas' work and research focus is on decision-making under uncertainty, the development of decision support tools in critical situations, as well as medical risk communication and defensive decision-making. In cooperation with the German Armed Forces, he developed simple decision support tools to differentiate between civilians and suicide bombers at military checkpoints in Afghanistan. In his work at the Charité, he developed data-driven, but simple, decision rules for assigning patients to intensive care units and taught medical students and clinicians how to interpret and communicate medical statistics.
