Jan Multmeier was a doctoral student at the Harding Center for Risk Literacy until 2012. His research focused on how children in elementary school can already understand uncertain information and make smart judgments. After his doctorate he worked as a medical statistician for the Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung (National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians) , as a HTA manager at Pfizer and was a project manager with Elsevier Health Analytics. After his roles as Team Lead at Ada Health and Director of Clinical Strategy at Patient21, Jan has been an acting professor at the University of Applied Sciences Stralsund since March 2024, specializing in teaching and research in digital medicine and public health.
